4: Part I

Mama Maria fetched Raidon for school after breakfast since I am still not capable to pedal my way  back and forth from home to school.

The little rascals grew curious when they saw the balloons hanging inside their classroom.  Black balloons with a few of them having a white skull print on it.  The treasure chest already hidden yesterday where they couldn't possibly find it--somewhere high.  The only thing to do was bring the pinata and figure out how, where to hang it.  It's been filled with toys, confettis and candies.

We arrived a quarter earlier in school, ample time to arrange everything while the kids are still having gym class.  We are lucky the teacher allowed us to organize such even for our little man.

Raidon gets to seat on the birthday celebrant throne and gets to hold the class puppet Jule the whole day and he gets to decide what he wants to do first too, but first they must do the usual birthday routine in class.  They sang a Happy Birthday song, blow a candle, sing another song and make a "firework".  It is really lovely to see the kids sing.  Lastly, each of them get to kiss Raidon too!

So what did my little wish-maker decided to do first?  Yes! Search for the treasure chest!  He pointed out 3 of his classmates to search for the chest first.  Guess what?  Somehow the little guy didnt look within eye level!  He looked high and found the treasure chest first!  He rushed to the teacher and announced to her and everyone else that he found the treasure!  But because he and his buddies were not tall enough to get it (they tried jumping a few times), they called out for help!  All the kids gathered around and where amazed to see a 'real' treasure chest!  Little man gets to open it first.  He walked around to show what's inside the chest to all his classmates and teachers.  But not yet! They are not allowed to get any of it yet!

Next, he wanted to share his cupcakes to his friends.  So Papa Fré walked around next to him carrying the tray while Raidon hands out one cupcake after the other.  Happy and amazed were the adorable toddlers in Raidon's class to see the pirate cupcakes!

I heard a funny comment about the cupcake:
"I think this pirate face is made out of clay!"

Most of them ate the cupcakes including the pirate face made of sugar paste instead of clay!  A few of them ate just the pirate face and not the cupcake, but one of them didn't even try to taste it at all.  It's because he's a son of a baker and he eats pastries and other baked products that's being produced in their on bakery!  Which by the way, their bakery makes the best chocolate cake in our city!

After the cupcake, they get to eat the cookies they all have in their backpacks and go outside the playground for a little break while Fré and I get to go with the teacher and have some coffee.

The bell rang and the students formed in line without anyone telling them what to do.  They marched orderly to their respective classes like adults.  In the meantime, Fré decided to be the living pinata holder!  It was heavy to hang it, the cord won't hold the pinata long enough.

We get to play another game too!  I don't know how you call that game but I call it, find and stick the eye patch.  A pirate skull lost his eye patch.  The kids are to be blind folded and given with an eye-patch sticker.  They are suppose to stick the sticker on it's rightful place.  Raidon gets to do it first of course and chose Baptist, his closest friend in class, to do it next.  Each of them get to have the chance to enjoy the game.  There was one girl however who placed the sticker correctly!  She admitted of peeking.  Cheeky gal I should say! But it doesn't really matter.

After the sticker game, they get to drink their juice and then came the best part!  Smashing the pinata!  Raidon and all the rest were rather hesitant to hit the pinata hard enough to smash it!  But Jena, the girl who peeked, didnt!  She slammed Raidon's pirate wooden sword straight right to the pinata and broke it.  The candies and toys fell on the floor and the kids were enormously happy to pick up the candies and toys!  But alas, time was running out, they all have to put on their jackets and pick up their backpacks.  We divided the candies and toys and inserted it in their lootbags before handing it one by one to them.

It was another successful birthday party if you ask me!  All our hardwork paid off and our little Raidon is happy.

Coming home, he gets to open 4 presents because he's soon to be 4.  We didn't get him any castle or boats or cars.  Instead we decided to get him a bigger bicycle so he could learn how to ride on it, a Disney/Pixar Cars night lamp, the one he saw in the store, a bicycle key lock and a mini airhockey table!

We had an ordinary dinner, did his nightly routine, read some bedtime stories and tucked him to bed.

Breakfast With The Happy 4!

Raidon called out loud at 6 this morning and told me he can't sleep anymore.  In a flash, he was in my bed.  Asking me if today was his verjaardagsfeest (birthday party) in school.  He instantly became excited.

After his daily morning routine, he especially put on his birthday shirt!  We went downstairs and even before I could ask what he wanted to eat for breakfast, he stormed in the dining room and looked for his pirate cupcakes!  Eyes both grew wide open and his lips formed a big smile.  "I want to taste and eat my pirate cupcake mama!", he blurted out loud.  Since today is his unofficial birthday party, his wish is our command!

I turned around to take my camera and when I looked back at him, he have already munched all the cupcake! LOL.  All I could find were traces of chocolate mousse that I used as filling and cupcake crumbs on his face!

After school, he'll get to open his gifts!  I hope he will love them! :D

Baby, Happy 4!

No, he's not actually 4 yet but since he won't be here when he celebrate his birthday, I decided to make one in school with all his friends of course!  Luckily my Fré is as ever the very supportive daddy who drives me around and helped me in getting things done!

Like I mentioned in my previous blog, this year's theme will be about pirates!  Tomorrow little man will be extatic to see pirate balloons hanging in his classroom, a pirate flag by the door and to top it off a piñata that's ready to be hit!  His treasure chest is also hidden somewhere in the classroom for the kids to find!

Let's not forget about the important part, cupcakes!  Yes!  I wanted to make them myself this time instead of paying almost a hundred bucks for it.  But so unfortunately timely, I got sick yesterday, grrr!  Mama Maria have to drive me to the doctor on a Sunday morning because Fré was at work.  The most annoying thing is that we have to wait more than an hour before the doctor arrived.  I slept better last night and I woke up breathing, thankfully!  Point is, while my obstruvtive chronic pulmonary sickness is still not better, it was just impossible for me to bake cupcakes!

I'm just so happy that Mama Maria came to pick me up and helped me with the baking plus cousin-in-law Julie was there too to lend a hand!  I am quite happy to see the end product!

Now the little man will have a blast tomorrow! Ahoy mates!

Keep It Invisible

Wow!  Amazing how the world evolved the last millenium.  I often wonder what women in those age do when they have their period.  The word 'hygiene' is unknown to them (this word is by the way first used in 1671) of course.

I remember my mom telling me how it was when she first had her first menstrual cycle.  My grandmother let her jump 3 steps of the stairs so she would only have a period lasting 3 days, (though I have no idea how that was possible since she grew up living in a hut (no stairs I suppose?), her bloody undergarment wiped on her face so she won't have pimples and she's not allowed to step on any poop (who would anyway?) otherwise her monthly period would stink.  Hmm..  Believe me, this superstiscious belief was passed down to me and my sister and a lot of the girls in school too!  My grandmother would make a layer of cotton fabrics as their washable napkins.  It is way cheaper she said.  During my time, I started with those really uncomfortable bulky pads.  A few years later thin pads existed.  Did you know that six years ago tampons were not being sold in the local grocery store in the Philippines?  You could get those at the pharmacy and it's pricy too.  It was only when I went to school here that I learned about tampons and its amazing powers. :P

Anyway our generation exists with anything that's slim, tiny, pocket-carry and possibly invisible.  Unwanted hair is being waxed, shaved or shaped aesthetically for many reasons.  Perhaps it is to seduce the opposite sex or to feel better about one's self.  Either way, it doesn't really matter does it?

So while watching our latest favorite zombie series 'The Walking Dead', I thought I might need some invisible bra to wear along with the dress I bought about a month ago when I went shopping with my friend, Virginie.  She showed me a pair of it in one shop but due to my hectic working agenda, I might not make any time to go shopping anymore.

Body Fashion Store have something I have been looking for!  I might get one in a week or two perhaps.  However, I saw something more interesting while surfing its website.  An invisible underwear! LMFAO!  Would you even ever feel comfortable wearing nothing but something just a bit bigger than a band-aid?

How to use it? Simple!
Just stick it on your genital and pray it won't come loose!
It is important to wax or shave the pubic hair otherwise it would hurt when you take it off. LOL
Also to bring an extra of these in your purse.

Daily Snapshots

Today was the first time I showed the pictures I took applying the lessons that we had the past two months to my teacher.  I was really scared for negative comments, mostly because my basic location is at home and well my favorite subject is my little man.

My big boy said, "it's nonsense for you to feel that way!  If you'll get negative comments, then you can at least learn from it and hopefully be able to take better pictures in the future."

Bravely, I marched inside our classroom and showed them this...
